Brandy Wharf is a small hamlet in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England near Waddingham where the B1205 crosses the River Ancholme.
Brandy Wharf's history is steeped in legend and has been linked with smuggling. Its name is derived from a religious sect of Viking settlers named Brande who became stranded after their invasion in 867AD and set up a ferry service. The west bank pick-up point became known as Brande’s Wharf, hence its present name.
Today it is famous for the Brandy Wharf Leisure Park for campers and caravanners and the adjacent Cider Centre.
