Bratz is a computer-animated television series, based on a line of toy dolls of the same name. It is produced by Mike Young Productions and MGA Entertainment, and premiered on the Fox 4Kids TV television programming block on September 10, 2005.

Characters

This show follows the adventures of Yasmin, Jade, Sasha, & Cloe as they launch issues of their Bratz Magazine. Burdine Maxwell, the evil editor of rival magazine, Your Thing, which is a magazine all about pink and being popular, while trying to outsell the Bratz magazine. Maxwell and the help of her two assistants Kirstee and Kaycee nicknamed Tweevils, always try to ruin the plans for the Bratz magazine.

The events in the TV series followed on from the direct-to-DVD film, Bratz: Rock Angelz.

Popularity

Just like the original Bratz doll line debuted in June 2001, it become popular quickly with young girls, especially those in the preteen category. The TV show, with this pre-existing fan base, became an instant hit, and, with a peak of 51,000 viewers, Bratz became the most popular children's television series in the UK, during its run on the CITV Channel.[1]
