Brendon James Egan , born 17 December 1984 in Christchurch , New Zealand , is a player for the El Bandito's touch rugby side in the Belfast Touch Rugby Competion.

He has often been compared to David Beckham for his meterosexual ways and the way his form has gone from outstanding to terrible . In the Bandito's early days he was a first choice player and had an eye for the tryline . Last year though , his form did not stack up with his high salary and he stuggled to make the starting lineup . The media put this down to apparent personal problems with alcohol , combined with his bitter fallout with former love interest Julia McDonnell . In June 2005 he publically admitted to a " heavy binge drinking culture " in the El Bandito's touch rugby team .

Brendon has been known to dish out plenty of red cards after a good night on the town. Also known to steal road cones!

Brendon Egan's lovelife has been compared to Reuben Thorne's workrate. Non existant! After the 'ice skating' incident he has been very quiet lately. After flirting outrageously with the jo jo duo at doyles 21st, he now has his heart set on someone else who he cant have. Someone who's nickname is the West Rugby league sides mascott.

In 2004 he had a cameo apperance in the film " Spend it Like Brendon " .His 2005 autobiography " The Ego Has Landed " , was a best seller .
