Brett Stanton Doster is a
political
consultant and
activist, in the
State of Florida. Through numerous
local, state, and national electoral campaigns, Doster has
established himself to be one of the most successful Republican
grassroots strategists in the State of Florida, especially for
Conservative causes. He
has served numerous politcal campaigns in varying roles. Most
recently he was the
Campaign Manager for the
Tom Gallagher for
Governor Campaign in 2006 and he served
as the Executive Director of the
Florida Bush-Cheney 04
Campaign.
As a political strategist and campaign manager, Doster
is best known for his innate sense of detail, emphasis on
grassroots and retail campaigning, and leadership qualites largely
born out of a military education at The Citadel. His command of
Conservative values and campaigning as made him a highly respected
and sought after consultant among Conservative political
candidates, feared by moderates, and drawn ire and rebuke from
Liberals and Progressives.

Harvard University.
Career
Highlights
Doster's first campaign experience came as a
political aide in
Jeb Bush's unsuccessful
1993 gubernatorial bid.
Although Bush lost a very close race to incumbent
Democratic Governor
Lawton Chiles, Brett
proved himself to be an outstanding aide, with a keen sense of
detail and resolve that left its mark on the candidate. They formed
a bond that would lead into, and through, Bush's eventual two term
tenure as Governor of the State of Florida and still exists
today.
At the age of 24, Doster ran for a commission seat in
Gadsden
County,
FL but
suffered a great defeat as well. Following this loss, he worked on
Bush's successful 1998 gubernatorial campaign. Brett joined the new
Republican governor's administration as the Deputy
Director of the Governor's Office
of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development (OTTED) where he
focused on issues related to the expansion of high-technology
businesses in the state.
Doster remained at OTTED until 2000
when was chosen to be the Florida Statewide Political Director for
then for Gov.
George W. Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign.
Four
years later, after rejoining Governor Bush's staff and a brief
period as a lobbyist, Brett was appointed by national
Campaign Manager
Ken Mehlman for
George W.
Bush's
2004 re-election
campaign to become the
executive director of the
Florida 2004 re-election
campaign for
George W. Bush. In his capacity as Executive Director,
Doster helped assemble and oversee a core group of campaign
staffers which is often referred to as "The Dream Team".<ref

In 2006, Brett managed
Tom
Gallagher's fouth gubernatoral primary campaign in Florida. For
this campaign, Doster once again assembled a campaign team and
mapped an ambitious grassroots strategy. With Gallagher's status as
a veteran elected official and
playboy, this effort came up far short, having lost
his primary bid to eventual General election winner and Florida's
current
Governor
Charlie
Crist.
Current Activities
Brett is the President
of Front Line Strategies, a
political consulting,
government and
public
relations firm he launched after the reelection of President
Bush. Brett is also know to be a devout Christian, and will not
work on Sunday as it is known in the
Christian
Theology to be the day of rest.
