Brian Jeroloman (b. May 10, 1985 in Wellington, Florida) is a catcher who was drafted in the sixth round (180th overall) by the Toronto Blue Jays in 2006. A career .285 (110-for-589) hitter at the University of Florida, he has walked more than he has struck out during his three years with the Florida Gators. He was a member of the 2005 USA Baseball National Team. He could possibly be the best defensive catcher ever at the collegiate level. He broke every Gator defensive record, while destroying the national records for the most runners thrown out in a single season and career. He also broke Charles Johnson's records for the best percentage for throwing out runners in a single season (63%) and his career percentage was 51%. He was awarded the 2006 defensive player of the year by Louisville Slugger and defensive catcher of the year by Wilson and Easton.
