Brian McBride[1] is the managing director of the Slough-based[2] Amazon.com in the U.K..[3]

He was born in Glasgow in 1955 and was educated at Our Lady of Lourdes Secondary School in Cardonald and Glasgow University where he graduated with an M.A. in economics, history, and politics. During his time at university he was president of the Union. He joined Xerox in 1977 and subsequently worked for IBM, Dell, and, from 2003 to 2005, T-Mobile[4] where he was also managing director. He is married with two children, lives in Camberley, Surrey, and plays tennis and golf in his spare time. He is also a non-executive director of the Scottish football club, Celtic F.C..
