Briony Fer is a British writer on art, specialising in post-minimalism and psycho-analytical theory. She is a writer on Surrealism, and such artists as Rachel Whiteread and Eva Hesse. Fer is currently lecturing History of Art at University College London.

  • On Abstract Art (Yale, 1997),
  • The Infinite Line Re-Making Art After Modernism (Yale, 2004), offering a reinterpretation of the innovative art of the late 1950s and 1960s.
