British Columbia Christian Academy is a small private Christian school in Port Coquitlam BC.
The school is renting space from a francophone school by the name of Ecole De Pioneers, which is in the former building of Terry Fox Secondary.
The school is underfunded and unkept and the enrollment numbers are very low for a private school.
BCCA houses students from K-12 with an additional preschool section, located within a dedicated protable.
All clases and grade were originally housed within the VERY long hallway, but due to increasing enrollment within the french school, BCCA was pushed off several former areas.
The primary grades (K-3) and head office continue to be located in the hallway connected to the french school, even though it's been cut shorter now.
Intermediet grades (4-7) are placed in a seperate annex, which also houses the music/chapel room.
The high school (8-12) are now located in a series of portables, formerly of the "Talmud Talons High School (source: wooden sign in hockey court, since removed), the main one housing math, english, science, french, sports, student services/cafe and computer lab, while a small nearby portable houses the social stuppies and CAPP(Career and Personal Planning)/CP (Christian Perspectives).
The school has faced several cases of near bankrupcy, one in 1996, 1999 and 2004.
The reason the school is probably so underfuned and neglected is because the principal Mr. White and head principal Mr. Jarvie, have misused money in the school in recent years.
The school has been preparing to build and eventually to move up on Burke Mountain in Port Coquitlam with building of an all new school.
This will probably never happen considering it would cost the school millions they just don't have, and no one is that interested in investing in it.
Former students have been quoted to say "this is not a school it is a hallway with a roof".
Notable Alumni
British Columbia Christian Academy has a very sparse and limited list of notable alumni's.
However two individuals do stand out as the clear choice for British Columbia Christian Acadamy's (hereafter refered to as BCCA) best and brightest alumni.
They were the tandem of Geoff and Taylor .
These two were legendary for their hilarious and cutting edge antics all throughout Elementary school.
However, the tandem got split up when Geoff decided to skip a grade ahead.
But, fortunately for society, Taylor and Geoff still remain Uber Awesome Friends to this date Will also attended this school, and is by far the best trumpet player ever to step in it's hallways, Anstey was an awesome teacher but of course Jarvie fired him like the old adage goes, A's hire A's but B's hire c's.
Anstey was an A grade guy which probably scared jarvie to death hence he was fired.
History and Future
It is pitifull that no one in BCCA will ever match these two individuals exceptional creativity, charm, wit, comedy, and allround greatness.
This is due to the creativity stifling teachings of Mr. White and Mr. Jarvie the principal and vice-principal.
Also everytime a good teacher has chosen to work at BCCA, they have been canned sticking to the age old addage, "A's hire A's but B's hire C's".
Unfortuanately it will never re-live the glory days experienced when the legendary Taylor and Geoff , attended and in reality, ruled, the school.
It is assumed MR Jarvie stifled the school, he was notably not up to the task of running the school and had limited grasp.
Shenanigans
Probably the most pro-est Shenanigan ever pulled was by Plang.
He had a stink bomb and proceeded to the boys washroom, where he lit the bomb.
He exited quickly and the "bomb" blew up creating a stench so foul the sewers were put to shame.
The funniest part of the whole thing was the fact that the principal (Jarvie) of the enitre school, was on the can in a stall, so basically he got OWNED, having to complete his maneuver in the most foulest stench.
It is unkown whether Plang knew the principal was in the stall or not.
