It offers news, information and advice via articles and its various discussion forums.
It also contains sections on property, expatriate employment, tax, insurance and other financial services, and a number of lifestyle columns including a child psychologist Q&A.
There are also travel features, restaurant reviews and various price comparison searches and online booking facilities.
Other facilities provided include web-based email and an opt-in emailnewsletter.
The website BritishExpat.com was formally launched on 1 April2000, although the company British Expat Ltd was not formed until 2001<ref>http://www.britishexpat.com/About_BE.13.0.html</ref>.
It has remained a privately owned company registered in the United Kingdom.
