Bruce Maiman, aka Dr. Maimes, is a radio personality who has appeared on KDON in Monterey, California, WKSE in Buffalo, WKRQ in Cincinnati, Ohio and on KCCL in Sacramento. He was also a long time producer for Scott Shannon and Ross Brittain on the legendary New York City station Z100. Maiman later worked as a talk radio host at KFBK in Sacramento. [1]

His show on WKSE aka Kiss 98.5, was the first-ever radio program to feature High-Pitched Eric (1993-1994), who would later appear on the Howard Stern Show and his program at KDON, Dr. Maimes & MG, in Salinas, CA was the first-ever radio program to feature UFO Phil (1996-1999).

He continues to write for The Ross Brittain Report, a widely distributed radio prep service, and has recently begun writing op-ed columns for the Sacramento Bee.

Has been an NYC cab driver. [2]

On January 25 2009, Maiman was released from KFBK due to layoffs conducted by parent company Clear Channel Communications. [3]

His show at KDON, Dr. Maimes & MG, in Salinas, CA was the first-ever radio program to feature UFO Phil (1997-1998) and High-Pitched Eric (1998-1999), who would later appear on the Howard Stern Show.

Dr. Maiman earned his PhD in Music from the University of Illinois at Champage-Urbana. Has also performed extensively as a concert pianist. Bruce built a community youth football program with 8 teams financed mostly out of his own pocket and coached semi-pro football at Ohio State. Maiman's tenure as evening host on KFBK ended January 12, 2007 (www.sacramentoradio.blogspot.com) following his third consecutive ratings result disaster (from First to 22nd in less than a year). The extent of the change is not confirmed as of this edit but according to the cited source Maiman's permanent replacement will be a tape-delay broadcast of Sean Hannity.
