An obsessive Funk Core band from
Devon, England, who are over influenced by, bands like
the
Red Hot Chili Peppers,
Incubus, and
Primus.
A band all to willing to mock Metal,
and "Moshers", as it seems too violent to their semi-Buddhist
minds.
Daily the band attempt to become more alternvative by
writing songs about Muslims and Jews.

Brustillen
History
Brustillen began in December 2005, stood in Pilton
Village Hall, before their school
Christmas holidays. This discussion, comprised of
bassist Nathan Hales, guitarist Ed Furseman, guitarist Nick Valvis,
and vocalist Ben Squire. Patrick Carey, a lively drummer, involved
in various ensembles about North
Devon was dragged into the concept.
Ben Squire
(later changed to Benn Squire) and Nick Valvis, toook the reins of
the band's birth, with a group of
Hotmail messages, titled "Hey Ho! the Band". These
e-mails really dealt with possible covers, and most importantly a
band name.
Brustillen, at this time still without a name, had
their first practise, on a friday in January in 2006. They met up
at thier school music room, and played the previously decided cover
"Reptilia" by [[The Strokes].
The name itself "Brustillen" was
created in a
German
lesson, by Nick Valvis, he firstly looked up "Breast" in his german
dictionary, then "Feeding", producing, Brust, and Stillen, when
combined, "Bruststillen".
Their first gig was in February, at
the Pilton Rock Night, held in their school, Pilton Communtiy
College. They had to call themselves Brucedylan, as Bruststillen
offended members of the teaching staff. They played three tracks,
Michael, by
Franz Ferdinand Get Free by
The Vines and Reptilia by the
Strokes.
During the summer holidays, Nick Valvis, Ed Furseman,
and Benn Squire, after their visit to watch the
Red Hot Chili
Peppers on July 2nd, got with the Funk, and desperatley wanted
to covers and create funky tunes, like the Red Hots. This would
employ the action of deleting bassist Nathan Hales, and Patrick
Carey from the cinquet, and getting Primus maniac bassist Tom
Strange (later changed to Thom Strange, in unison with Benn
Squire's change.) and drummer Matt Cambrigde, who was in a locally
sucessful band called the Sonix.
Around this time
"Bruststillen" was shortened to "Brustillen".
November 2006,
another Pilton Rocknight occurred, and once again, Brustillen
opened (Brustillen was accepted, due to the spelling change.) They
played, "Wake Up" by
Rage Against the Machine, Aeroplane
by the Red Hots, Reptilia again, and their origional origional,
"Daniel Radcliffe", a hate song focused on Daniel Radcliffe, and
the Harry Potter cast, and concept.
Leading into December 2006,
Brustillen started some serious work on music making (known as
noise production between Benn and Thom.)
"New Funk Remedy" was
the first product of the noise, this song briefly explained how
Brustillen were the Messiahs of Funk.
The New Funk
Remedy
After the Novemeber Rocknight, Ed, Benn, Thom, and
Nick, started to listen to more Funk Core, and Funk Metal than
ever, not only Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Rage Against the Machine,
but,
Incubus,
Primus, and
Jane's
Addiction.
This new genre, now thrown into the already
heated boiling pot, that was Brustillen, lead them to belive that
the world was missing a good funk core band, of the 21st century.
Brustillen were the Remedy of Funk, that were New - The New Funk
Remedy.
