Bryan Copland is the frontman of largely unknown pop rock group The Standard.

Copland formed The Standard in 2004 with Stuart Donald on bass and his brother Marc Copland on drums. Malcolm Mcaught joined and left the group before Joe McConnell was introduced on keyboards and Paul Bradley joined replacing Malcolm on rhythm guitar. Songs were then penned before the bands first album 'Look At Where We Are Now' released in 2005. The album included such classics as 'Bouncebackability' and 'Left to Right'. Stuart Donald left the band in early 2006 due to huge musical differences with Bryan to embark on a solo career. 2006 has seen new material written including 'Blue Skies = Joy For Farmers My Friend' and 'Follow Your Heart'.

Copland is heavily influenced by Pete Doherty and The Libertines and is also a massive fan of Oasis and Kasabian.

Bryan remains an influential figure in the world of music and is often referred to as a god of the music industry.

Bryan is also into his fashion and would one day LOVE to dye his hair blonde. Blonde is the best. I've always thought of it as the colour of beauty he told us.
