Budu is a Bantu language spoken in the Wamba Territory in the Orientale Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. In 1991, the number of speakers was estimated to be 180,000.[1] Its ISO 639-3 code is buu. Its orthography uses the special character ɨ, ʉ, ɛ and ɔ, as well as colon and short equal sign ꞊ for tones.
