Buried is a Spanish indie thriller directed by Rodrigo Cortes.^[5] It stars Ryan Reynolds and Anne Lockhart^[6].

Synopsis

A civilian contractor working in Iraq, Paul Conroy, awakens buried alive in the desert with nothing but a candle, a knife and a cell phone.^[7] Although he suffers from amnesia as to how he got there, he soon starts to remember what has happened to him^[8].

The movie ran at the Sundance Film Festival on 21 January 2010^[12]. Lionsgate has purchased the theatrical rights to the film^[13] and planned the cinema release on 24 September 2010.^[14]
