Burn is a North Carolina hardcore band which began in 1997 playing for nothing but for their desires and what could be considered progressive metalcore music with introspective lyrics, Mostly related to death and love.

History

Burn released its first self-titled concert after a great win in 1999 at a battle of the bands contest. It wasn't really considered a big concert. It was just a backyard mosh pit. In 2001, the band was reported to have separated, with vocalist Ryan John Andrews, and guitarist/cousin Pia Fajelagutan departing to a new location some where in San Diego,CA and Pia moving in back with her parents. The band went on some hiatus for some while.

However, on the official Burned MySpace, on April 27, 2006, the following message was posted in the blog: "Yes we are still together and writing songs. No we are not broken up. JR from the band runs this site. Pia, well, last we've heard is now in..whu..Somewhere in the middle east but no matter, we're still a band."
