==ATDB (Australian Transport Discussion Board)- Bus Australia forums==

The BA Forums, or commonly known as ATDB or 'The Board' provide a place for enthusiasts of Australian transport to discuss fleet changes, post sightings of buses and service changes, as well as 'The Lunch Room' which functions as a general discussion point and a 'Where is it?' game area where users post pictures of bus and other transport places and users try to guess where it is.

In January 2008, The ATDB had a facelift with the upgrading of the community forums to the new phpBB3 platform and this heralded the arrival of changes to board guidelines.

The general layout of the forums are as follows:

News & Administration - This area is used for posting new announcements and also for the community to post comments and suggestions for the board.

Bus Fleet changes - The Bus Fleet Changes area is where users can post changes to various bus operators fleet, where buses are moved between depots, withdrawn from service or entered service. It is generally divided by having each operator to its own topic to keep the area clean.

Multimedia - This is for posting pictures of various buses (seen in service, at bus infrastructure openings, etc. and also pictures of trains and ferries. Videos and Sound Clips can also be posted in this area.

Australian Transport Discussion - This is where the bulk of posts occur. In this category, it is divided in separate forums for each area, with General Transport Discussion for topics regarding all of some states, as well as separate areas for QLD, NSW, Victoria, SA, WA and ACT. The 'Other States (NT & TAS)' - is for the Northern Territory and Tasmania. These areas are combined as not many users come from here and they are rarely discussed.

Overseas Transport Discussion - is for posting discussions about transport overseas (in other countries than Australia).

Transport Products - this is an interesting area. It is where users can trade or sell transport related products, whether they be bus or train models or general bus propaganda.

Timetable and Service Changes - is used for posting discussions about timetable and service changes in various areas of Australia. It is arranged similar to the Australian Transport Discussion area, except that there is no general area and ACT is mixed in with NT and Tasmania.

Miscellaneous - this is the very bottom of the forum and is the most popular area. It is divided into two sections- The Lunch Room and Where is it?. In The Lunch Room, miscellaneous discussions and random discussions take place. In Where Is It? Users post pictures of a place and other users try to guess where it is. The winner posts the next picture.
