The Butt of Lewis (Scottish Gaelic: Rubha Robhanais) is in the area of Ness. It is the northernmost point of the Isle of Lewis. It is the location for an abandoned lighthouse built in the 1860s and designed by David Stevenson. There is also a differential GPS base station on a nearby hill.

There is a sheltered cove called Stoth on the road up to the lighthouse. Lazy beds are visible on the other side of the road. There is a large round hole in the cliff to the west of the lighthouse which is called the Eye of the Butt (Scottish Gaelic: Sùil an Rubha), which is most clearly visible from the Habost machair.
