Buzz Ballads is a
compilation album that was created and distributed by
Razor & Tie, advertised primarily through Direct Response TV.
Released in 2005, the two-disc set was one of the best-selling compilations put out by the independent record label.
The two discs contain music that is categorized as a mix of pop and
alternative rock music, containing many
Billboard top-100 hits that were popular in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Live,
Oasis,
Bush, and
Sublime - some of the many groups that were known to have defined the genre of
alternative rock.
Buzz Ballads was the first of many albums released by
Razor & Tie to contain the word "Buzz" in the title.
