Music
----
Throughout his early
years, C-NoEviL would be very receptive of music. His earliest
memory is that of
Michael Jackson's
"Thriller",
Paula Abdul's
"Straight
Up", and of
Prince's
"Purple Rain." He was actually scared of the
music video for Thriller, stating that,
"Michael didn't have to
do that!" Being that he was only 4 years of age, it wasn't
that bad of a thing.

<br>
Zapp and Roger,
Stevie
Wonder,
Parliament Funkadelic,
Heat Wave,
Phil Collins,
Kenny G.,
Quincy Jones and
Jeffrey
Osborne played a major role in his love for constant music. His
father kept the music on in the house on a day to day basis, not
realizing his son would soon become a musical fanatic. At age 6,
C-No received his first album,
"Batman", the
motion picture soundtrack, which contained
many hits by no other than
Prince. Next, he was given
Bell Biv
Devoe's debut album,
"Poison", in which he would study
the rap verses, as well as the beats, singing, and dance moves
again, and again, and again everyday after school. When
Kris Kross,
Dr. Dre,
Snoop Dogg, and
DJ Quik finally came out, Hip Hop
because his favorite genre of music, but he never left behind his
love for R & B, Soul, and Funk.
Turning
Point
By 12 years of age, C-No realized how much of a passion
he had for music. He would freestyle with friends about school,
girls, basketball, model cars, and his neighborhood, only to start
beating on desks and tables, so that he and his friends would have
some actual music to rap over. His weapons of choice was simply his
fist, knuckle, and pen. It was at age 14 that he decided he wanted
to make music of his own rather than rap or recite lyrics. Any
chance he got, he would make beats on desks at school, forcing
teachers to send him to the principals office oftenly, and bang on
his door in his bedroom, making his mother irritable, until she
gave him her voice recorder to beat box on.

Musical High
Throughout high
school, he learned to play drums, percussions, keyboards and the
vibraphone. He was also able to intern, through his high school, at
Atlantic
Records in
Hollywood, CA as a A&R at the age of 16. He
worked under
Mike Caren, the
A&R for artists
such as
Trick
Daddy,
Trina,
Lil' Kim and
Drama. He purchased his
first beat machine with his first pay check. Not a day went by
without pounding away beats on his drum machine and within the
first three months or purchase, he put beats on cds to sell to
rappers and admires in his high school. It was when he and his
friends performed under the moniker, The Westside Lyricists at
their high school talent show, that they got the attention of a
then up-and-coming record producer,
Vstyle, who was immediately interested in working
with the group at his project studio. After a couple of notable
sessions, C-No became partners with Vstyle and have been working
side by side ever since with local artist throught Southern
California, as well as established
artists.
