CMP Radio, or Chris Moses Productions Radio (2002; Jun 2003 - Dec 2004), was an internet radio station enabling anyone to broadcast.

CMP Radio Logo for 2002

CMP Radio first started in November 2002 as a station on Live365, with the slogan You Pick It We Play It. After a very successful short life, it ceased operation. This was due to Live365 introducing new changes to their service. These involved:
  • Every listener having to register before listening to the station.
  • Listeners being forced to use the Live365 Player, reducing system compatibility.
  • Charging broadcasters more money for the privilege of knowing their listener statistics.

In February of 2003 it was announced that CMP Radio would be returning with new sophisticated automation software (known as AuDEC Professional), brand new station imaging and full UK licensing. In April, a date was set for the comeback - 6 June 2003.

CMP Radio for June 2003-Sept 2004

At 20:00 on 6th June 2003, CMP Radio launched for the second time, with the new slogan More Variety, More of the Time.

CMP Radio Closed in Dec'04 because of new UK Licencing Regulations

    Sign Up and Booking

Potential presenters could signup via the website when the signup form was open. This tended to open at the start of each month for new presenters as inactive presenters would be deleted from the system.

There were 3 membership statuses: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
  • Bronze presenters could present up to 2 hours per week, 1 hour per day.
  • Silver presenters could present up to 4 hours per week.
  • Gold presenters could present as many hours in the week as they wanted.
  • Platinumb presenters could play other music than Pop.
  • DJ ULTIMATE this was by far the best status. the presenter did what is known as "doing dead air" for upto 59 minutes.

  • New presenters were initially given bronze status.

Bronze and Silver presenters had to book via the website. The booking slots for the following week became available at 00:30 UK Time every Monday morning. There tended to be a huge rush for more popular 'primetime' slots.
