CNN Tonight is a newscast that is currently hosted by John Roberts on CNN. This show started because of Lou Dobbs' resignation from CNN on November 11, 2009. The first CNN Tonight was hosted the following Monday, November 16, 2009.[1]

This show has most of the reporters that filed reports for Lou Dobbs Tonight on the show each night such as Dana Bash, Candy Crowley, and Kitty Pilgrim. Furthermore, the opinion parts that were a hallmark of his show are no longer made a part of this program because CNN has gone away from that in recent times.
