C for Cat is an indie band from the
Niagara region. (www.myspace.com/cforcatmusic) The band is composed
of Harley
Davidson on lead guitar and vocals, Sebastian Powis on
the bass guitar and back-up vocals, and Myles Turner on drums and back-up vocals.
C for Cat plays a variety of styles of music and the band is
recording their first album professionally with the world renowned
Prodigy studios and Rob Deacon.
The band came together one
October day in 2006 when Harley invited the two over to jame. Myles
and Sebastian had formerly played in a hardcore band called
Serraside. Harley
saw the solid bass and drum sound and asked them to form a band
with him based originally on his ideas. From there they took it a
lot further. They started practicing regualarly and pumping out
songs more by the day. They started getting serious about C for
Cat. Now they play shows all over St. Catharines and are working on
an across canada tour, and an american touring licence. Sebastian
now devotes himself to C for Cat as far as bands go, and puts a lot
of his creative work towards making songs for the band. Harley and
Sebastian have formed a lennon and mccartney like song-writing
method, and with the help of one of the most solid drummers in the
niagara region, C for Cat will continue to climb to the top.
