Cablegami is a computer hardware cable management technique, primarily used to describe complex folding and bending of flat ribbon cables.

Ribbon cables are a popular way to interconnect devices within a case, since it is very easy to construct cables of virtually any length using press-on connectors that bite into the symmetrically-aligned wires inside the cable. However ribbon cables are also stiff, bulky, difficult to bend, and can impede cooling airflow through the computer.

However, it is possible to arrange ribbon cables neatly inside a case, if the cables are sufficiently long and folded at 90-degree and 45-degree angles to lay flat against the sides of the case.

Tie-down clips and straps may also be used to secure the cables in place so that they do not move around when the equipment is moved, and help prevent loose cables from getting caught in mechanical components such as cooling fans, or getting pinched and damaged by removable case covers.
