D’Amore Gourmet Beverages and Food Products traces its roots back
to the late 1800’s, to a family cafe located in Bellagio,
Northern
Italy. The cafe was known for its pan-roasted coffee, served
fresh by proprietress Madelena Cavanna, the Grandmother of actor
and founder of Caffe D'Amore, Paul Comi
[772].

D'Amore began in Pasadena, California
in 1969. It introduced to the world the first Flavored Cappuccino -
Caffe D’Amore® Original Mocha, better known as the “Coffee of
Love.” Company founder Paul Comi would soon team up with company
CEO Chris Julias, and together, they would grow the company into a
thriving business, far beyond the small Italian cafe. Today, the
California based (but Bellagio, Italy inspired) Caffe D'Amore
brings the charm and taste of traditional European heritage to the
modern world, over one hundred years later.
Today, Caffe D'Amore is a thriving multi-million dollar producer.
Its corporate headquarters and distribution center are based in
Monrovia, California. The headquarters houses an extensive 60,000
square-foot production facility, training center, and shipping
department. The company sells products on a wholesale, food
service, business and consumer retail basis. Caffe D'Amore products
can be found in many different distribution locations around the
world.
With the addition of company Vice President, Tak Lam, who joined
Caffe D'Amore in the early 1990's, the company has grown its
international presence to over 50 countries and continues to expand
rapidly.
For over three decades, Caffe D’ Amore has maintained a reputation
for excellence within the specialty gourmet industry. Food service
