Frederick "Freddie" Thomas Peacock (né Thomas Duncan) is played by Dylan and Hayden Whitbread. He was born on 17 July 2006 to Claire and Ashley Peacock. Claire suffered from post natal depression after Freddie was born, refusing to believe that Freddie was her child. On one occasion, she pushed his pram into the path of an oncoming vehicle, and also attempted to return him to the hospital. She was temporarily sectioned until she recovered and was able to return home. In October 2006, Claire announced that she would like to have his name changed from Thomas to Freddie, after his paternal grandfather Fred Elliott who had died the week before. In December 2006 he was christened Frederick Thomas, with Eileen Grimshaw as his godmother, and Roy Cropper as his godfather.

In May 2007, a fire was started in Freddie's bedroom. Claire was rescued from the burning building, but Freddie was not discovered until later in the day, wrapped up in a local park. It was revealed that the fire had been started deliberately by use of an accelerant. Originally, this storyline was to last several months, but it was rewritten to avoid upsetting the family of Madeleine McCann, who disappeared two weeks previously. In September 2007 the identity of Freddie's abductor was revealed to be Claire's former friend Casey Carswell. Casey abducted Freddie and took him to the balcony of her flat where she threatened to jump with him. Freddie was rescued unharmed, and Casey arrested.

Mr. Griffin is the Headmaster at Weatherfield High and commonly appeared in storylines concerning David Platt when he attended the school, and more recently Chesney Battersby-Brown. Mr. Griffin made his most recent appearance when Chesney's sister Fiz Brown was about to punch Kenzie Judd for bullying him.

Cameron McIntyre was a school friend of Chesney Battersby-Brown and Sophie Webster. Cameron often got in trouble with Sophie and Chesney. Sophie, in particular, was taken with Cameron to the extent of having a crush on him. Cameron also got them cigarettes and prank called all the contacts on Sophie's mum Sally's phone. Cameron is no relation to Joe and Tina McIntyre.

Slug is an old friend of Becky Grainger's. He was a drug dealer and user who took advantage of Becky. In June 2009 the character returned, apparently a reformed man. It was later revealed that he was working for DC Hooch, an officer who is an enemy of Becky and wants her behind bars. Slug planted drugs on Becky and had her arrested. Steve and Lloyd found out about Slug's involvement and tracked him down. They bundled him into a car and returned him back to the street and questioned him. When they brought him to Hooch, Hooch decided to drop the charges, scared Slug will tell the police about him. Slug hasnt been seen since.

Sundeep "Sonny" Dhillon was played by Pal Aron. Sonny was Michelle Connor's millionaire boyfriend. It came to light that Sonny had relationship history with Sean Tully, in that they had previously been dating, with Sonny admitting to being bisexual. On the Streetcars lads night out Steve McDonald spotted Sean and Sonny kissing. In late February 2007, Sonny proposed to Michelle. While she was in The Rovers celebrating, a jealous Steve told her that Sonny was gay, however, she did not believe him. When Michelle's brother Liam Connor heard Steve's allegation, he confronted him, with Steve sticking by what he saw. An unsure Liam questioned Sean at work with Sean claiming nothing was going on. The same day, Liam and his brother Paul Connor confronted Sean a second time, forcing him to tell the truth. They then frogmarched Sean to the pub to tell Michelle the truth. Sean did so, with Michelle bursting into tears, shocked at what she was hearing. An oblivious Sonny arrived at Michelle's that night, ready to take her out. A crying Michelle told Sonny she knew about him and Sean, before giving him back her engagement ring. Sonny then left in shame.

When Michelle's son Ryan Connor discovered the gay affair, he stole Sonny's car and took it for a joyride. The police found out but Sonny didn't press charges. After Michelle discovered the affair, Sonny went to Sean but Sean didn't want to know. Sonny walked out of number 11 and hasn't been seen since.

Holly Grimshaw first appeared on Christmas Day 2006 when her mother Emma dumped her on Jason Grimshaw claiming that he was her father, the product of a one night stand. Jason's mother Eileen bonds with the baby who they name Holly because of the day she arrived, Jason then bonds with her too and enjoys being a father and a family with his fiancee Sarah Platt and her daughter Bethany.

When Charlie Stubbs was murdered in January 2007, Jason was upset as he had lost one of his closest friends. The trial of his murderer Tracy Barlow reached the newspaper and Holly's mother Emma heard about it and realised that the man who was Holly's father was in fact Charlie and he had given Jason's name instead. She returned to re-claim Holly but Eileen refused and threatened a custody battle. However, she handed her over on 25 April 2007. Shortly after she left her half-sibling was born (child of Shelley Unwin and Charlie).
