==History==
Opening in 1962, Nathanael is an independent, non-profit camp dedicated to the spiritual, physical, and social training of boys into young men. The Camp is solely financed through camper fees and private individuals, and is not subsidized by any church or private organization. Camp Nathanael has been affiliated with the Christian Service Brigade (US/Canada) since 1962.

Purpose

The Mission Statement as stated on the http://www.campnathanael.com/ camp's website is:
"Camp Nathanael is a unique place for boys to learn more about Jesus Christ, study God's Word, and walk closer with Him; develop Christian leaders of tomorrow; build relationships with one another; have opportunities to develop natural abilities, try new things, and apply what they learn; enjoy, understand, and be comfortable in the outdoors."

The three crucial factors that set Camp Nathanael apart from other "Christian camps" are; 1) A ministry oriented to the individual by virtue of a very low camper-to-counselor ratio; 2) A setting geared to reach a boy's heart through games, crafts, activities, songs and stories; 3) A program dedicated to the development of strong Christian leadership to college and teen-age men.
