"Can You Hear Me Now?" is the first episode in the fourth season of the American crime drama CSI: NY. The episode first aired on September 26, 2007.
While on board the flight home from London, Mac Taylor receives an urgent call from the CSI team asking him to look out at the Statue of Liberty; the statue's crown was covered with blood. Two security guards have been brutally murdered. They also find that the binoculars on the rooftop had been wired at an angle with a piano string. Look through the lens, they see a dead body sitting on a chair staring back at them. Traces lead Mac and his team to an apartment building. Stella recognizes the crime scene from the murder while visiting a victims apartment. A young woman had been murdered but the murderer went scot-free due to the lack of evidence and witnesses unwilling to testify. Angry that no one did anything to help solve the case of the woman, the landlord was cruelly torturing these witnesses for information on the killer then later killing them and passing on the facts to the detectives. He then gets a visit from Stella who told him she has a suspect in custody, who turns out to be the original killer. While playing with the piano of the murdered woman during this visit she hits a dead A key and realizes that the chord found at one of the crime scenes was the same. Knowing she was in the same room with a killer she chases him down after he takes off and shoots him in the leg after he yells "Can you hear me now?" to which she replies "Loud and clear!"
