The Canadian Centre for Verbatim Studies is a specialized Private Career College located in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada; and is currently pending approval to open in 2007 from the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

The Canadian Centre for Verbatim Studies (CCVS) will train Real-Time Court Reporters, who may also work as broadcast captioners, CART providers, scopists, or medical transcriptionists.

The College will offer full-time (2 years of study), part-time (3 years), and online/distance education diploma programs (2 years) in Real-Time Court Reporting.

The College will be the only instructor-led (for full and part-time programs) private career college in Canada specializing in this field.

A 50-hour one-on-one Practicum will allow each student to shadow a working Court Reporter and gain essential experience in actual hearings and trials in courtrooms, and examination for discovery in boardrooms. This valuable connection is intended to build contacts and kickstart each graduate's career.

The College has a Board of Advisors comprised of working Court Reporters, members of the National Court Reporters Assocation (NCRA), and other legal professionals.

The Chartered Shorthand Reporters' Association of Ontario (CSRAO) have been vocal supporters of the College and the promotion of court reporting in Canada.
