The
Canadian Civil War or the
Former
Dominion War is a fictional war in the futuristic
historical fiction novel,
"The Canadian Civil Struggle
War" by an unknown author. The story takes place in a
war-torn
depression-like
Canada sometime in the 22nd century. The country has
divided over the decades and is no longer a large country. Each of
the seventeen provinces and territories, including
Nunatsiavut,
Baffin Island (which
separated from
Nunavut
in 2046),
Cape Breton Island (which separated from
Nova Scotia in
2094), and
Labrador
(which separated from
Newfoundland in 2017 to form two separate
provinces), have each formed their own nations after more than
thirty years of
American occupation from 2060-2093.
Reasons For Fighting
Fighting broke out among the new countries. No one exactly knows
why, but some people believed that they were disputing over land
that belonged to them, thus the term "civil war" is technically
incorrect, as it involved many nations fighting.
Vermillion Night
The war officially began at 6:54 p.m. on March 21, 2100. This date,
also known as the Vermillion Night, was the night that
Québec invaded
New
Brunswick, thus triggering neighbouring countries to attack
Québec.
Allies and Enemies
Groups of military alliances were few. They were often very
unstable as each country would be either attacked "rabbit punch"
style by its ally, or align with a nation who is secretly attacking
another ally, thus turning the other ally against it.
Warring Nations
Every former Canadian province was involved in the fighting. Here
is a list of nations:

British Columbia)
West Buffalo (formerly known as
Alberta, and as
Buffalo along with
Saskatchewan)

with Alberta)

southernmost tip which is owned by

Québec
