Biography

Early life

Candace Bailey Boggs was born in Albany, Oregon to Edward Ray Bailey Sr. and Hattie Lou Griffy. She had three brothers, Edward JR. David Wayne, and Richard Sam they are deceased, and one sister, Tina Marie. The Bailey family has mostly Irish, German and Cherokee ancestry. Candace Bailey Boggs has said she doesn't know the origin of her surname, but she repeatedly jokes that the name has to be Irish. Boggs's maternal great-grandmother, Cecal, was a full-blooded Cherokee, and her mother Hattie also has distant Cherokee heritage.

Personal life

Since her first marriage ended, Boggs has dated and been engaged twice. Boggs is now living with singer, author Jeremy Cook, whom she met while operating the Ham radio back in 1986. The couple have two children, daughter Jessica Jasmine Cook (born February 12th 1992) and son Kevin Raymond Cook (born March 26th 1991). Boggs has noted that having children has given her "real foundation, a real strong place to stand in life!" "You can't plan the kind of deep love that results in children. The family divide their time between Albany, Corvallis, and Lebanon Oregon and a Coastal retreat.


Career

Candace Bailey Boggs has written many short stories that are to be published in a book soon; all her stories have been published in many publications. Boggs has always taken the lead rolls in all of the theater plays she has been in. Boggs starting acting in grade school, and she said that is what got her into acting. :It is like I can be someone new each time I accept a role." Boggs, in the past has been in a band and preformed in concerts for charitable reasons.

Candace Bailey Boggs also works with Charity, The Guardian Angel Program. She helps many seniors, terminally ill children, and terminally ill adults. "It is so hard to see these people like this, and it seems that no one cares. They are just tucked away from society,, so I help as many people as I can." Boggs is a very caring person towards others.
