American Artist (born in 1952 in Seattle, Washington) known for her work on imaginary portraits and her exhibitions in Paris, France, from 1997 to 2002 (Cujas Library, American Chamber of Commerce, Portes Ouvertes de Belleville, Paris, de Ménilmontant, Galeries Celine and Caractere, Voeux d'Artistes among many others). Interior Designer, she began painting in 1995 in Paris and never stop her Raw and Intuitive Art as a full time activity. Relocated in California since 2003, Candice Johnson continues her paintings and exhibitions in Los Angeles and now Las Vegas (The Last Day of Adam & Eve, Little Eagle Gallery, 2004 and Arroyo Seco Arts Collective - Discovery Tour, 2005, in Mount Washington, Candice Drive, July 2008, in Hollywoodland and Face to Face, in Las Vegas, in September 2008). Her art attitude, style, inspiration and production, giving life, a story and a name to each portrait that she calls HEAD (in French: TETE), conceiving hundreds of them, strange, unique, sensible, kind and unknown faces of a bizarre population beyond us, is a part of the Outsider Art and the Visionary art. Her portraits are in several important private collections (Mr. Blake Byrnes, Dr. Eugene Frank). Candice Johnson Art is presented on the Internet by the Charles Saatchi Gallery. She created in August 2008 her Limited Liability Company, Candice Johnson LLC, to manage and develop her career in the United States and worldwide.
