The object of Cantucky is to be the last man standing.
The game starts with up to ten players and is narrowed down to one champion.
A player is eliminated when he recieves 2 outs.
The game is started by the opening serve and is called for by one player.
The ball is "juggled" between hands to a limit of eight times and must leave your left hand.
A double touch is when the ball hits one hand two consecutive times, this is illegal and result in 1 out.
If the ball does not leave the left hand when passed to a player an out will be given to the player who commmited the penalty.
Line-drives or forbidden when passing to another player in an attempt to sabatoge the players "juggling", this will also result in the donation of an out.
Sometimes the ball will fall in between two players, this is rulled a nuetrality and no outs are given.
Wars
When one player has the ball and feels the need to eliminate another player he can call war on the player hejust recieved a pass from.
The players not involved will form a circle around the war and the two players will duke it out in sudden death.
There are no nuetralities in a war.
The loser of a war will recieve one out.
Alex Tweel
Once thought of as one of the few great players in the sport's early history Alex Tweel on 5/2/07 had a surprising and outrageous outburst.
Tweel was going for his third straight championship and it was down to him and Raymond McCourt where there was a call in dispute, the eliminated contenders had a conference to discuss the ruling and without a decision Tweel attacked the group, threw the ball out of sight, and rambled on with vulgarities such as “this is horse shit.” McCourt the commissioner had no choice but to suspend him.
After a post game press conference where Tweel cursed the commissioner out, McCourt took the necessary actions and suspended him for five games (the longest suspension in the sport’s history).
This is the sad but true story of Alex Tweel, once in the category of athletes like Jordan, Gretzky, and Ruth but now considered to be more like the Adam “Pacman” Jones, Todd Bertuzzi's, and Ron Artest's of the sports world.
