Introduction

Cape Town Magazine, or CapeTownMagazine.com' is an internet magazine on Cape Town and the rest of SouthAfrica.

CapeTownMagazine.com was started in 2006 after seeing the large gap in the market for an internet life style magazine on Cape Town and South Africa that combines tourism with a combination of information, tourism, news and life in the metropolitan city of Cape Town.

An important aspect is to provide a comprehensive range of information and to combine it with real news, not promotional articles, on positive developments in Cape Town. This to provide elements for foreign, and local, readers to balance the often ‘negative news = news’ focus of foreign media when publishing news on South Africa.

The internet magazine on Cape Town is not in print, but only online. CapeTownMagazine.com was the first internet site to combine tourism with news, events, social projects, south African music, online movies on Cape Town and for example Google Earth.

A monthly newsletter with the latest news and special articles is sent out monthly, and has become popular quickly.
