Capone is a hardcore Chicano rapper, known
especially for his rivalry with
Mr. Capone-e and his work with fellow Chicano
rapper
Conejo. He first
debuted on Thump Records' compilation Low Rider Sound Volume IX
with the track "Can I Kick It" and then went on to found his own
record company, Latino Jam. One of his songs, 'I Need Speed',
featured on the soundtrack of Need For Speed Underground 2. He
lists hip hop performers such as
Kid Frost,
Cypress Hill,
Psycho Realm,
Fat Joe, and
Big Pun as influential.
Capone was born in
California, but spent much of his childhood in the Detroit area. He
is now based in Texas.
Feud with Capone-e
The feud has been
happening since 2000 when Capone heard a song with a rapper calling
himself Capone, which was the name Capone had already chosen. There
are rumors that Capone from Latino Jam is infact a white
correctional officer, these rumors were allegedly denied by the
rapper. Claims have also been made that Capone has confronted
Capone-e on these rumors many times but these allegations were
proven to be untrue. It is unlikely Capone would confront hardcore
gang member Capone-e .Capone has not been to LA for several years
and is unlikely to do so as the Capone, real name David Williams
was part of a government state agreement to take on a new identity
and was given a condition not to enter into the county of LA.
Capone has stated in an interview that Capone-e is allegedly of
Middle Eastern origin along with other members of the Hi-Power
label but these claims seem to be nothing more then hearsay. These
statements have fueled the fued between the two rappers and gang
affiliations of the two. There were fears that a street war would
break out as a result of the gang affiliations both rappers have,
Capone with San Fer used to lock them up , and Capone-E from Varrio
Cyclones gangbangs and rolls with. Capone has made songs with
rappers such as Conejo, Tattoo Ink, and his most controversial
collaboration with
Sir
Dyno, a
Norteños Gang member from the
Darkroom Familia
music label. Capone-e has yet to retaliate but it is probably
unlikey as Capone-e is enjoying music success and busy trying to
stay out of jail.
