Today with chips in everything from credit cards and mobile phones to medical services, increasing design and manufacturing costs, coupled with decreasing profit margins are creating a fiercely competitive and challenging semiconductor market.

This has opened a huge window of opportunity for India in the electronic design service sector. There are currently around 100 Chip design and 150 embedded system players in India and more and more companies are eyeing this potential market.
If we look at the last one decade the companies that started their operations in India are now looking at building vertical strengths in India. Most of them have plans to increase their strength to as much as double or triple in coming couple of years.

We at CareerNet have established a focused "Technology Vertical" in the semiconductor space where they concentrate in all the areas of Semiconductor Design (namely ANALOG, CIRCUIT, DIGITAL, RF, MEMORY, BOARD) & EDA. They have a separate team which is dedicatedly focusing on all the Semi-Conductor activities across different geographical locations in India.

We have openings in all engineering activities of Physical IP’s (standard cell, memory, I/O, PHY etc). These are openings for Program Manager, Sr. Design and Layout engineers, Technical leads, and managerial positions.

In ASIC Design flow, the openings are in both Front End as Well as Back End Design. There openings range from RTL, Verification, physical Design, and DFT to complete chip Design experience from RTL to GDS and tape out.

Analog companies have openings in circuit design, layout, mixed signal, RFIC Design & Layout, ADC’s, DAC’s etc. The openings are from Design engineers to Technical managers.
In EDA, openings are for Tool Development R&D (front end, backend, memory BIST, DFT, characterization, Test cases etc), applications (CAE’s, FAE’s). These openings are from Design Engineers and Sr. Design Engineers.
