Carlos Barbosa-Lima was born in São Paulo,
Brazil in 1944. At age seven he began studying the guitar, made
his first recording at age 12, and is now regarded as one of the
leading classical guitar virtuosos in the world.
His musical styles include contemporary, Jazz, Brazilian, and
Classical, among others. Since the 1980s he has been dedicated to
teaching/arranging/recording. He resides somewhere between New York
and Puerto Rico.
