José Carlos Nepomuceno Mozer, usually known as Carlos Mozer or simply Mozer (born on 19 September 1960 in Rio de Janeiro) is a former football central defender and current coach in Morocco of Afro-Brazilian descent. Mozer played for SL Benfica, among other clubs. While defending for Flamengo, he won the Copa Libertadores de América and the Intercontinental Cup in 1981. He played at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, having missed the 1986 tournament through injury.

His appearances for Brazil were from July 1983 to March 1994.

Coaching career

On 24 October 2006 Mozer signed a two-year contract to coach the Angolan football club Interclube[1]. He led the club to the 2007 Girabola title,[2] but he was dismissed from his post after an away defeat against El Zamalek in CAF Champions League in April 2008.[3]

On 6 July 2009 Raja Casablanca announed that Mozer has signed one year in a contract for coaching the first team[4]..
