Casey Bates is a Seattle based music producer and mixer. He has recorded his own music and worked with several artists on records such as Fearless, Fueled by Ramen, Equal Vision Records, and Eyeball Records[1]. He also took part in the formation of Gatsbys American Dream and the song writing in their first album[2].

Gatsbys American Dream

The formation of Gatsbys American Dream began shortly after members of One Point Two (Casey Bates, Bobby Darling, Dustin McGhie, and Josh Berg) met up with Nic Newsham and Ryan. According to Bobby, the music on their first album, Why We Fight, was written with Casey Bates and himself in One Point Two. Bates has also constantly been apart of Gatsby's recording process, he produced and mixed both of the albums the band released on Fearless Records, their DVD, and has contributed vocals and instrumentation to their songs.

Casey Bates is a music producer in Seattle, Washington. He has worked with several notable Seattle bands, including Gatsbys American Dream and Forgive Durden.

Background

Casey grew up on the mean streets of Oak Harbor, WA. Elderberry Lane was the wrong side of the tracks, and no one would let him forget it. Casey, alongside his childhood friend Andrew, found the strength to rise above their humble beginnings. At 16, he produced his first tracks for the Klobbs. Following rave reviews, mostly from those recored on the tracks, the spark to produce began. Notable hits were released over the coming years including the rock ballad "Don't Go Away Girl" and the experimental "Birthday Song".

Casey credits his major influences to the Tracer, Gino's $1 pizzas, and those nose inhaler things.
