Cecile de Brunhoff (October 16, 1903 – April 7, 2003) was a French storyteller and the co-creator of the Babar stories.
She told the stories to her son when he was sick, and her husband Jean de Brunhoff wrote and illustrated the children's books that became popular worldwide.
