The Centeenials
Centeenials are an
Indie rock and
post-punk revival band from
Huddersfield,
United Kingdom.
They have been active from 2006, releasing two CDs, a 3-track demo entitled 'Wake Up Call' and a 5-track EP, 'Disorder'.
The band recently started a fan competition to guess which member of the band is gay, which was on their Myspace poll.
The result was inconclusive.
The Dream
The band formed 15 months ago after a strange "dream" each of the five members had on the 3rd November 2006.
The dream, they say, is what first brought them together, however, a pact each band member made means that none of them are allowed to discuss the dream with "outsiders" or something rather dreadful will happen.
Front man Luke Granata and bassist Thomas Wigley have spoken of the dream in an interview with a local paper, without going into too much detail:
"'Yeah, it was a dream that brought us together' said Luke.
Thomas Wigley also added, 'Yes...a dream...I remember that', whilst looking around in confusion."The Huddersfield Daily Examiner 2006
Dream experts believe that Bob Marley spoke to them in the dream and told them to create the band.
They also believe James Watson, in the dream, had a "jamming" session with Bob Marley which inspired their first single, "Stay Here" (2006).
The band members remain tight lipped on "the dream" phenomenon and it is likely that the true contents of the dream the band members all shared on the 3rd November 2006 will never be known to those outside the band.
Gay
The ongoing debate about which band member is gay still rages on...
However links have been made between the sexuality of the group as a whole and the goings-on of the afore-mentioned dream...
The Name
A Centeenial is a small animal often found hiding behind toilets - They feed on urine and other human waste.
The band thought that naming themselves after these creatures would suit them perfectly.

Bretton or Binks, Who is editing this page?
The Centeenials have no idea and the speculation is rife at Greenhead college and on networking sites facebook and MySpace...
Why does Myspace merit a capital letter but Facebook does not? subliminally biased texts..
Anyway this page hasn't set up by the Fabulous Chris Binks (so fabulous even adjectives attributed to him will merit capital letters) and for some reason I doubt it was Mr Bretton either.
In my valued opinion, it is some temerarous little scamp, currently hiding behind an esoteric shroud of clandestine activity.
Just some random stalker character.
