County Road 150 (more commonly referred to as Central Avenue) is the main throughfare of downtown St Petersburg, Florida. Consistent with its name, Central Avenue is located directly in the middle of downtown. Immediately to its north is 1st Ave N, right to its south is 1st Ave S, etc., thus creating the foundation for the downtown grid. It is also represents the figurative center of the city. Many of the city's renowned restaurants are features on this avenue. Also most of the nightlife is on or very near Central. Some prominent examples are Bella Brava Italian restaurant, Lobby Bar, Jannus Landing, and the The Arts Center. The Downtown Looper trolley has a stop along Central, at The Arts Center.[2][3] The gay village Grand Central, located two miles west of downtown, is based around this street. At Pasadena Avenue, Central Avenue continues westward as the Treasure Island Causeway into Treasure Island.
