Chad Arthur Blackwell (born January 17 1983 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida) is a pitcher for the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League. He played at the University of Iowa from 1999 too 2001. He then played two seasons at Pensacola Junior College before he enrolled at the University of South Carolina in 2003<ref> University of South Carolina, Roster Bio Accessed 2007-11-05.</ref>. In 2004 he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals. He played the 2004 season for the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Pioneer League. He advanced to the Burlington Bees of the Midwest League in 2005. That same season he advanced further to the High Desert Mavericks of the California League. He was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates organization where he played the 2006 season for the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Carolina League. That same season he advanced further to the Altoona Curve of the Eastern League. He was released by the Pirates following the 2006 season. In 2007 he was signed by the Gary SouthShore RailCats of the independent Northern League<ref> RAILCATS SIGN FORMER NCAA SAVES LEADER Accessed 2007-11-05.</ref>. He finished the 2007 playing for the Dunedin Blue Jays.
