Challenge Of Reverse Engineering, better known as CORE, is one of the most well-known software cracking groups for the IBM PC. It was founded in June of 1997 by a group of people from Ontario, Canada and within four years the group had released more than 10,000 cracks, key generator and the like . In recent years the group has grown larger and encompasses some sub-groups, including COREPDA, which is involved in cracking software for PocketPC, PDA and other handheld devices.
