Charles Devenish (Charlie) Lawson (born 17 September 1959 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland) is a television actor.

Lawson was educated at Campbell College in Belfast, where he developed a love of acting. He then went to Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Lawson is probably most well known for the role of Jim McDonald (who is originally from Belfast) in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street which he has played on and off since 1989, the most recent spell being mid 2009.

In addition to his Coronation Street role, Charles Lawson has also appeared in the 1982 Yorkshire Television drama series Harry's Game based around the troubles in Northern Ireland and the 1988 television film The Firm and in many other television series, such as Doctors, Bread, The Bill and Rosemary and Thyme.

In 2009, Charles appeared alongside an eight foot frankfurter sausage in a German television advert, advertising hot dogs. His overdubbed catch phrase of betrachten Sie die Größe meiner Wurst! (they consider the size of my sausage!) has become very popular.
