Charlesbank Capital Partners is a private equity investment firm focusing on leveraged buyout and venture capital transactions. Advent operates globally with more than 15 offices in North America, Western and Central Europe, Latin America and Asia.

Charlesbank is based in Boston, Massachusetts and was originally founded in 1991 as Harvard Private Capital Group to manage the private equity investment portfolio for Harvard Management Company.[1][2]

At the end of 1999, the firm began raising its first private equity fund from outside institutional investors. The firm's founders include Michael R. Eisenson, Kim Davis, Tim Palmer and Mark Rosen. The firm has approximately $1.6 billion of capital under management.
