Charlie (Charles) J L Mead was the lead guitarist with two UK bands - The B"stard Sons of 1000 Lunatics and Cooper - and the rhythm/occassional lead played with one US/UK band - The Transpond Big Blues Band.
Has also played Bass, Drums, Mandolin and Sung with the bands.
Born in Canada in 1987 he moved to London, England in 1990 then eventually onto an english town called Stevenage.
As far as records show he stayed in Stevenage playing music with The B"stards and some time in Portsmouth with Cooper.
In 2005 he travelled around Seattle which is where he met Tom Jones (not THE Tom Jones) a sax player moving to London.
With Tom he joined a Trans Atlantic band - The Transponds - which is where his blues playing quickly progressed.
Upon returning to America for a one off gig with the Transponds; Charlie achieved some cult status for his strange but affective sliding and his often unbelievable bending of the strings.
(Similar to that of Albert King).
He quit gig-playing and recording in late 2006 after one of his neck fingers was crippled in a Motorcycle incident.
A blues newsletter based in London claimed a Charlie Mead had died in early 2007 however it has not been confirmed whether or not this was the same Charlie Mead of this biography.
