On March 20 of 2006, the prominent Hollywood actor, executive producer and writer Charlie Sheen revealed to the public that he was a part of the 9/11 Truth Movement in a broadcast of the journalist Alex Jones radio show.

The interview was planned ahead, and was seen as a big event by both Alex Jones and Charlie Sheen. Jones stated that he has contact with multiple Hollywood personalities that agree with his views, but do not dare to come forward, Charlie Sheen doing so and risking to be attacked is seen as brave and an "important milestone" .

March 20, First interview with Alex Jones

The show was broadcast Monday March 20 of 2006 on Alex Jones Genesis Communications Network Radio show, and was 39 minutes long: article / audio / video.

The interview started with Alex Jones presenting Charlie Sheen, Jones stating that he had talked with Sheen one and a half houres the previous day, and concluded that Sheen was very well informed of the relevant issues, in contrast to other Hollywood celebrities that had contacted him. Jones stated that it was no surprice, considering Sheen being the son of Martin Sheen. After that, Sheen started talking about his present Hollywood projects.

After the presentation, Sheen started by stating the he has for a long time been a fan of Alex, seen all of his documentaries and stated that he "was alwayes amazed to see that you always had hard data to back up your claims". Alex quoted Sheen as saying that "the biggest conspiracy theory is the official story", and Sheen elaborated that they wanted to group them with the "conspiracy nut-bags, when we are not really debatting things that are related to UFO's bringing down the towers", and "we are not the conspiracy theorist on this particular issue, It seems to me like 19 amateurs with box cutters taking over four commercial airliners and hitting 75% of their targets, that feels like a conspiracy theory." Both Alex and Sheen state that "The [information] war is turning".

The issues raised and claims made by both Jones and Sheen included:

"Back in 2001, everybody admints that cell phones did not work over 3000 feet, how did they work on 33 000, 32 000 feet?"

"How did Al-Qaeda make NORAD stand down?"

"Did the Al-Qaeda call mayor Willie Brown of San Francisco, as The Chronicle reported, and say 'dont fly to New York'? No, the White House did."

"Did the Al-Qaeda call mayor Salman Rushdie and say 'dont fly to new yourk on September 11', no The Times of London reported that the White House did."

"Did Al-Qaeda run drills, CIA and Pentagon drill on the morning of 9/11 of hijacked jets hitting those exact same targets on the exact same times and then drills two days before and drills two weeks before?"

Dan Rathers showing a clip of WTC 7 falling, and then concluding "Amazing, incredible, pick your word. For the third time today... a building was deliberatly destroyed by well placed dynamites", a view shared by many on that day, including Sheen, Alex and Peter Jennings, a view that dissapered as the mainstream media started to offer the offical version, reffered to as a "Conspircacy Theory" by Alex and Sheen.

WTC 7 was not hit by any airplane, but it still fell from a small fire, even though no steel framed building had ever fallen up to that day. Alex also reffered to the madrid fire of the Windsor Tower that did not collapse .

They also reffered to The Big Lie, consisted of telling a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe anyone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously".

WTC 7 falling faster than the speed of gravity, due to the vacume created by the explosives. They also mention Steven E. Jones and Kevin Ryan, the later being fired for rejecting the official version. They mentioned Larry Silversteins "pull it" quote, and Alex stating that the fall of WTC 7 shared all the signs of a controlled demolition, "the blast, the squibs, then the cramp in the middle, the top of the builind imploding downwards and then it falls down on itself"

The Pearl Harbor attacks investigation being started "about a day" after the event, The Titanic investigations being started that day, JFK investigations started that day, but the 9/11 investigations started "about a year later", and the investigation being ordered to be "limited in scope".

Shipping the rubbel after the fall to China, despite the material being a part of a crime investigation.

Reports of the Black Box being found, but the boxes not having surfaced.

Bush's security personal not rushing him to security, despite "the entire population" of Florida knowing his whereabouts during the attacks, suggesting that it was known that Bush was not a target, otherwise they should have removed him from the room as if he "was on fire".

Jeb Bush declaring Marshall Law three days before, without giving a reason.

The presence of 44000 US troops and 18 000 British troops in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, together with Aircraft carrier attack groups ready to strike Afghanistan, the order being signed 2 days before 9/11. Alex viewed it as "Convinient that the attack force was already built up, something the takes six month, im being told".

The president telling two times in public that he saw the first plane hitting, White House dening he even knew about it, there being pictres of him wathing one of the towers burning.

The almost 40 years law of pilots being able to wear firearms was changed by Bush on July 2001.

Vice President Dick Cheney changed the authorisation of the shootdown orders of suspected hijacked planes (such as in the Payne Stewart case) on june or July 2001, a 46 years old law. Since NORAD was sett up in the late 50:th, Generals and Admirals had authority, but the authorisaty was moved to only himselfd and Secretary of Defence Donald Rumsfeld

The Commision claimed there was no support columns in the middle of Tower One and Two, even though it had the biggest in the world up until that time, 47 columns total.

Most of the jetfuel being expended in the fireball outside the building, and still having the having enough energy to travel 1100 feet through the elevators to the destroy the lobby, as it was described, especialy considering that the elevator shafts where hermeticly sealed from air.

Firefighters and Police where talking about multiple exlosions, but "where told to shut up" and their records being confiscated due to National Security, then claiming the records being destroyed, and then due to a Congressional order, some where released. In one of them there was a fireman and a police saying they saw bombs going off in all three of the buildings. There are now videos only consisting of such material, one and a half houres long.

The Zogby poll , most Americans demanding more investigations. Disscusing how a truly independent investigation could be formed, in contrast to the first suggestion of having Henry Kissinger leading the 9/11 Commission. Alex mentioned that Michael Meacher, Andreas Von Buelow and other foreign leaders claim that the US government are behind the attacks.

PNAC, Dick Cheney writing in september 2000 a piece named Rebuilding America's defenses: "we need a Pearl Harbor event to catalyze the American people to invade the middle east" and Zbigniew Brzezinski "goes further and says we need a helpfull Pearl Harbor event."

What hit the Pentagon? Alex wondered about the FBI confiscating videos of the crash, and Sheen expresed: "Show us this incredible maneuvering, just show it to us. Just show us how this particular plane pulled off these maneuvers. 270 degree turn at 500 miles and hour descending 7,000 feet in two and a half minutes, skimming across treetops the last 500 meters."

Sheen's last words:
:It is up to us to reveal the truth, it is up to us because we owe it to the families, we owe it to the victims, we owe it to everybody whose life was drasticly altered, horrificly, that day for ever. We owe it to them, to uncover what happened.

March 21 & 22, Initial respons

On March 21, Paul Joseph Watson, Alex Jones coworker, wrote an article for Jones site, Prisonplanet.com, reagarding mainstream medias respons to the interviews .

The article concluded that although the interview "received widespread interest across the Internet and was even linked on the Drudge Report for a time", it remained to see if other mainstream news would cath on the interview. The article stats that the Drudge Report linked to it at 6pm CST, but removed the link at 10pm CST, resulting in Prisonplanet.com receiving millions of hits, forcing them to scale down the article to printer friendly version to cope with the traffic. They speculate that a webmaster added the link, but Matt Drudge having removed the link personaly.

The artcle gave Rense.com as a example of non-mainstream articles linking to the interview, and asked:
:The mainstream media pour over stories about Mr. Sheen's personal life whether real or manufactured yet will they remain silent when Sheen actually discusses something serious?

On March 22, Paul Joseph Watson wrote another article where he stated that the Associated Press "strongly indicated that they would be running" the story, however, they later changed their mind, giving comments such as: "I know all about Charlie Sheen and I don't care what he says." and "we're not going to run anything".

Paul Joseph Watson mentioned several other atempts of contacting maintream media and reporters, all failing, and then hinted at Operation Mockingbird, stating that Media would have been on the issue if he had mearly critsized Bush, but since he was right on the target, people did not dare to touch it. Watson further stated that "the sum of counter-arguments against the evidence carefully presented by Sheen amounts to comments like 'Sheen is an idiot'" and "Sheen took the risk and the reaction has been mute because he was very careful about his research before speaking out. This should be seen as a victory. The media cannot spin Sheen's comments because they are dead on target and leave no room to be taken out of context."

March 22, Showbiz Tonight

On March 22, Sheen's comments were the main topic of the ten minutes long Showbiz Tonight (CNN), hosted by A.J. Hammer . The show presented several long quotes from Sheen, while meerly mentioning Alex Jones name, and giving a picture of him. Webster G. Tarpley was quoted talking about the Zogby Poll. THey had two guests, 911truth.org's media coordinator Mike Berger and Nicole Rittenmeyer, who made a four hour miniseries called "Inside 9/11", produced for the National Geographic Channel by Towers Productions.

Mike Berger supported Sheen, and stated that he "has done his homework" in sifting out the the false informations, and Berger also criticized the official version. Nicole Rittenmeyer stated that "some of the questions Sheen raised are easly answered, he might have done his homework, but i dont know if he did enogh". When asked to be specific, Rittenmeyer answered Sheen sugesting the fall being from a controled implotion and not from the result of the planes hiting was not correct. She stated:
:It, it did happen from the air[plane crash] - the fireproofing was blown of the buildings, there is tons of research, there is a wealth of evidence out there that sugests -its been examined and re-examined, it looked to untrained people like controled demolition, but experts have evaluated this again, again and again, and its prety self-explanatory.

Berger stated that Sheen is "impresive" and reminded that:
:"Charlie raises the issue of a third building, a 47 story building, building 7, that collapsed at 5:20 Am on September 11:th, which was no hit by a airplane.

Berger then critizised the media for not covering that event, and repeated some of Sheens arguements. Prisonplanet.com rated the show as "balanced".

The CNN appearance was accompanied by a poll where over 80% of the voters supported Sheen's comments, something Sheen referred to as an "inspiration" and "staggering" .

Hannity and Colmes

Hannity and Colmes (Fox News) [176] also covered the Alex Jones interview. Sean Hannity taking the position that Sheen is "nuts".

Second interview with Alex Jones

Sheen again made a interview with Alex Jones where they commented they polls. Sheen stated that he feel like "the war is turning" [177]. He also stated that his critics where attacking his personality, credibility or ability to obserce, and Sheen stated that "what they did not attack was the specific points that you (Jones) and i raised".

Second Showbiz Tonight

Following "an explosion of interest" in the story, the story going "supernova", Sheen's comments were the main topic of a second Showbiz Tonight segment where he said he "had to tip his hat" to them. Alex Jones was also interviewed live on the show [178].
