Chase Lyman (born September 4, 1982 in Mountain View, California) is a former American football wide receiver. Chase attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, California. In high school he played football, basketball and ran track. The Mercury News named Chase their Male Athlete of the Year in 2000. The San Jose Sports Hall of Fame awarded Chase their Outstanding Male High School Athlete of the Year in 2000. Chase was raised in Los Altos Hills, CA and is the son of former NFL player Brad Lyman. Chase went to UC Berkeley and was one of Aaron Rodgers' main targets. He graduated with a degree in American Studies in 2004 and was drafted in the 4th round by the New Orleans Saints in 2005. Injuries plagued Lyman's football career, and he retired after tearing his ACL twice. Lyman is working in commercial real estate with Cornish & Carey Commercial in Palo Alto, California.
