Chen Ming (陈明) is a Chinese pop singer. She started her career in Guangzhou in 1990 and is in the music industry ever since. She has released 13 albums, which includes remixes. Her song Loneliness Makes Me Beautiful (寂寞让我如此美丽) and the album released in 1995 brought her much fame and was praised as one of the best songs in China. Her popularity status was strengthened even further through singing very popular songs such as For You (为你) and Happy Old House (快乐老家). She sang many theme songs for movies and made many public appearances. Her popularity began to decline around the time after she released her ninth album. After her tenth album, the singer stopped singing for four years. She returned to her singing career in 2004 and released her 12th album. She is currently working on a new album rumored to be called Perfection (完美).
