A cherry stoner is a slang term for a hippy that smokes predominantly cherry-flavored cannabis. The cannabis is produced using cherry sativa (Rosaceae) and is almost always extremely potent, similar in THC content to other strands of Cannabis, such as skunk.

Cherry stoners come in a variety of forms, ranging from the slightly overweight to the grossly obese. It is worth noting, however, that unlike regular hippies, cherry stoners are usually employed and retain a regular work-life balance - whilst they do pay taxes, their contribution to society is sometimes hotly debated.

Cherry stoners are found throughout the Western World and, as of June 2007, have spread as far East as Indochina.
